Enviromental Issues...

There was time where enviromental issues where mainly discussed by hippies, that we thought were against our industrialization era. Today this is a completely different reason. Finding very small kids that know exactly what is going on with global warming is no different than asking them what their favorita cartoon is.

As far as any traveler used to be concerned this had nothing to do with their vacation plans, well until federal regulations started to kick in. Don't get me wrong I am all for conserving the environment and being up to par and the fact that the governemnt actually cares to make a difference is a good thing.

The way that it should not be is that in states such as my current amazing state of Montana where federal regulations do exist but are not as strict on the environment as in other places. The main area of concern for the fed here would be if people that have a fireplace within city limits do not use it as their main source of heat unless there is no alternative choice.

Instead when we travel with our most definitely not yearly regulated vehilces for smog check then well, that is when the fines start to kick in. Sorry for coming in from a state that doesn't regulate perhaps because our population might reach a million if we included of the animals in the vincinity. Regardless of why the problem is that we should have taken this into consideration if there was more advertising making travelers weary of such possible fines.

Currently as a proud AAA member I am happy to state that I do try to keep up with, what is going on in the area in which I plan to travel! Perhaps a little more information could have prevented me from having such a headache instead of a rather pleasing cop free vacation.

Friends...

While vacations are a great time to hang out with family, and friends and those you love the most, its not really necessary that this very special time be spent attending the needs of others.

Now, lets look back and it seems that every vacations that you have probably taken might have a great memory of going some place either because someone else wanted to and one decided to tag along or I'm sure that we can all account for the family trips that we never wanted to go on.

Vacation time, its actually suppoused to be a time of relaxation and freedom, yet so many of us spend this precious time running around trying to get things done or trying to see things that if we miss during a certain trip reliving that story will never be the same.

Yet, everytime that we come back from a vacation we need a vacation from our vacation to get back into the work groove. Sometimes however and especially lately I've been noticing that we really should be careful about who we choose to vacation with, because even the closest acquaintance are not the friends that will enjoy the trip with you and really be able to look back and say wow that was an amazing time. Even then not every friend either will be able to make the qualifying list of great travel partners!

As a young and single female, I must say that it is becoming increasingly hard to find a good friend that I can travel with that isn't married so that the husband or the kids have to come along and really not get that live your life to the fullest moment that we all strive for. Today's society is full of way too many young people that are getting married way too fast way too soon and before the know it the resposibilities of being a parent become too real and we lose focus of what really matters in life.

Recently I took a trip to Las Vegas, yes what happens in Vegas does stay in Vegas. This is something that little kids shouldn't be saying. Although there are a few things that are very kid friendly, seeing parents with strollers at 1 or 2 in the morning well just wasn't right. Call me old-fashioned if you like, but sacrificing your kids well being for having fun on a vacation in Vegas with your friends isn't something that should be very high on the priority list at that point in time. Own up to your new responsabilities and go home! Or leave your kids with the grandparent's either way, I do not think that this is a subject that I am willing to budge on and if my friends decided that they're taking their little kids on our already preaviously planned vacation you bet that I am rescheduling because there is a time and place for everything.

Customer Service...

Customer service is currently showing up a lot everywhere especially when it comes to this travelling log. So here I am trying to do my travelling blog, yet today has been a weird day for me. Customer service while traveling plays a very important role for people.

Now, just because someone is on vacation does not give them any right to be rude! Yes, you are paying for a service and the people on the other side are trying very hard to please you and make sure that everything works out for both parties. However this doesn't seem to mean anything for a lot of people that are not in the customer service industry.

Everyone should at one point in time have to work in the customer service industry so that they understand what people have to go through to please others so that, the person that is pouting because something wasn't or isn't being done their way. No this is not your way there is no way or the high way in this world.

Why are we no longer considerate individuals? Does no one have morals anymore?? Whate ever happened to having respect for others? This seems to have all gone down the drain the day that we started arguing that everyone is allowed to have their very own alianable right. Yes, this is true to a certain degree. I'm sorry but I don't care who you are, what your last name is, or what you do! You are either a respectful individual or you deserve nothing better than to be treated like everyone else.

Snow...

Why does it snow in April? There was a point in time, that Spring was very wrongly labeled. Spring should be the beautiful spring showers, that halfway down the day turn into a beautiful spring afternoon, that earthy smell that starts to remind us of our sweet childhood memory.

How was is it instead that it simply happens to start snowing out of nowhere? Ok. Perhaps living in Montana might have something to do with that particular issue. Montana is very well known for being the home to the coldest spot in the nation. CutBank Montana, yes ladies and gentleman you heard me right the coldes spot in Montana.

This is something that is not very surprising for Montana's residents. This is the state where you very well may experience all four seasons in one day without ever leaving the comfort of your home. Where there was a year that right smack at the beginning of June there was a blizzard that caused a lot of damage.

Christmas in July all of a sudden took a whole new meaning! This is what makes traveling so difficult in our beloved state! In the end it doesn't matter how much the residents of our beautiful state might complain about how hot or how cold or how the weather ruined a plan we love it!

Traveling in our state means, that we must be very well prepared. As state residents we are constantly being reminded of the emergency supplies that one should carry. No. This doesn't mean that we should all just have our cellphones pre-set to dial AAA.

There actually isn't a single part of our state that will always get cellphone reception since we live in the mountains, and therefore havin your AAA on speed-dial will literally get you nowhere but to a very possibly dangerous situation!

Yet, should everyone be fully prepared to encounter natures tough love? Are you well prepared?

Cars...

There I was minding my own business, going to the mall looking for that perfect outfit. You know that saying dress to impress. Yeah, well I'm a pretty big fan of it! As I arrive at the mall, very frustrated that there was no parking space; well not that, that should raise a flag of concern since the majority of the malls in America have a problem with either not enough parking or the fact that too many people decide to attend the mall at the same time. Either way, it was very frustrating to know that I had to park all the way out in the middle of nowhere. Pretty much invading the Ashley furniture parking lot which meant that I wasn't only shopping for an outfit anymore but getting a workout as well. Come to think of it, it was an intense workout, because I hate walking with such a passion, I am not that walk on the beach type of girl let me tell you. Well, I guess I could be if there was a really nice, cute person to talk with!

As I walk inside the doors to the mall I find out what the whole parking lot issue was all about. There was a Mustang exhibition! Now if someone had been nice enough to post signs or to do some more advertising I would not have minded the long walk! Ah the classic american muscle car my dream love! I was in heaven. There were some nice Mustangs on display, I all of a sudden became a complete tourist in my own hometown mall! Thank goodness for camera phones, since I was not about to walk all the way out to my car to go home to get my camera not that I could find it in time to go back without avoiding another parking dilema. Either way I was happy and soon enough decided to forgo the whole outfit shopping and check to the cool cars. So, would you call it a coincidence?

Coincidence? No, probably not, but it sure was really exciting to be able to check out the really cool cars! First thing that I did ofcourse was to call my dad and explain to him what was going on. My dad and I had to keep hanging up to take pictures to send, since technology isn't advanced enough yet that I can happily take pictures and talk to someone at the same time. Too bad many people haven't figured out the whole multitasking thing just yet. My dad was as happy as I was, talking about the engines, and the car colors as well as the rims and designs of the cars. Yes I do believe I understand now my whole car obsession. My father and I have something that really brings us together thank goodness for the Mustang!

Airplanes...

I was thinking about this blog earlier today as I was driving to school...and that was when all of a sudden it hit me. I really love to drive...no matter how much I seem to complain sometimes about the people out there that drive too slow...or way too recklesly..hmmm..maybe I am just growing old. There were days I am sure that there still are many when other people must say the same thing...darn young girl driving around so inconsiderate of other. There's no doubt in that. To each their own I guess. It was still quite early, but I knew that my parents were awake, so I proceeded to call them. Yes. I was driving and talking on my cell phone..well more like speed dialing since I was trying to text as well.

According to my father however, he believe that the reason that I love to travel is that before I was even born I was already on an airplane. And my dad loves to drive..it must be deeply embeded in my genes then. If so then do we really pick who we are...or do we just make conscious descions based on the alreay preset brain wiring which only makes it that much easier to make a quick decion. Yet to us we're being spontanous..when in reality it was suppoused to happen all along...

Airplanes however have been a passion of mine for sometime..I actually dreamt of someday joining the military, maily either the airforce or the marines. The airforce and the jet planes fascinated me...I was the one that would play Maverick with my little brother...unfortunately for me I'm color blind and unfortunately couldn't pass that part of the test. That would have been the best job ever. To fly over at insane speeds with the most amazing technology...just the thought of the thrill gets my blood flowing...could I just be a thrill seeker?

That would explain that little red mustang when I was fresh out of high school, with the tinted windows, cobra hood, shiny wheels, lowered car, with the tinted windows..
Oh the faces that the boys made when I'd pull up and couldn't believe that it was indeed a shift-stick. That's right. I'm a daddy's girl...but just because of that it doensn't mean that I can't stand up for myself. Hell, my parents did not raise me ti wait around on a guy to do things... must be the reason why the most recent song Independent by Webbie seems to be so personal...If you're reading this you should check it out...at...http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=20152999

Or maybe that I just always wanted to be like my dad...

Computers

Here I am trying to write a blog for my class right...the one thing that makes me mad is that it got flagged as a spam blog!! Who on earth in their right mind does that?? Oh yes...I was mad...well...I am still very angry none the less..because this is an important part of my grade and to top this off ofcourse it takes two days...yeah..two whole days a total of 48 hours in order to get my blog back up and running...now personally that is a complete insult!

Whoever is in charge of that needs to set up a better database to figure out what the problem is...

Alrighty I will try to calm down now...it would have been so bad...if it didn't take so darn long to set up all of the requirements..and let me tell ya...figuring this stuff out so that it meets requirements sucks!

Yeah..computers are suppoused to make everyone's life easy if everything is workin like its suppoused to ofcourse if it is not then it can turn everything into a nightmare!!

Ahhh...how did we ever become such a dependent society on a little machine...we're smarter than it could ever be...yet it must be that we're just too damn lazy and would rather sit in front a tv or computer and stare all day...I too a guilty of this which makes it even worse! Maybe I'll read a book...geting some actual braincells working would be nice....

There, now I'm off to getting this darn thing restarted....until next time...I promise to be more calm....
